@ZeframM@CentristMadness She tried starting some shit on Post, but no one sent any vicious abuse her way, and I don't think she knew what to do next.
Being off Twitter will be good for her, but it'll take her a while to realize it.
@RottenInDenmark This is a "both parties need to work together to reduce political violence" level of tweet.
You're way too smart to tweet something so facile.
@malthusian_trap @jdcmedlock No, I was trying to make a point to a stranger who I thought might be somewhat receptive, which may have been stupid of me in hindsight.
@malthusian_trap @jdcmedlock Bonds Wolf is not a psychopath, and if you think that only a psychopath would do something like this, then you're being painfully naive.
I'm glad Bond Wolf did what he did. Cohen was being a little shit, and we should go back to a time when being a little shit gets you spanked
@malthusian_trap @jdcmedlock I'm glad I take Twitter personally because that stops from becoming the kind of jackass who calls strangers on the Internet morons.
@malthusian_trap @jdcmedlock No, it supports my conclusion that norms against doxxing are pointless, unworkable, and silly. Expressing your bad opinions pseudonymously, under the assumption that you are safe from real-world consequences because doxxing is super uncool, man, is bad and you should not do that.
@malthusian_trap @jdcmedlock I have no ill intentions towards you, but anyone who does will have no problem tracking you down.
If there are things you post that you wouldn't if you were posting under your own name, you should stop that now. Assume that your boss will be able to read all your tweets.
@arianity2@Noahpinion @revhowardarson @rajatstweets@wideofthepost Agree that there aren't many solutions, and that pseudonymity makes it marginally harder, but the costs of maintaining it, and its very large negative effects make it a cure worse than the disease.
@arianity2@Noahpinion @revhowardarson @rajatstweets@wideofthepost I agree that we need to be concerned about harassment - especially of the kind that is facilitated by the internet.
I do not believe that widespread pseudonymity is a viable form of protection against harassment.
