Aston Villa have made an offer for Crystal Palace striker Jean-Philippe Mateta.
The proposal fell considerably short of Palace’s valuation of the player, with the club expecting a much higher offer for the France international in order to sanction his departure.
Villa, who have been in the market for attacking reinforcements with Ollie Watkins’ future at the club unclear and Tammy Abraham and Brian Madjo sidelined with injury, have also made an indicative offer for AC Milan forward Rafael Leao.
Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson has also been a target, while Villa also considered making a move for Mateta back in January.

@lars__berg@EPLdrafts You guys had it right during the world cup. Clean sheet only counts if the team holds a clean sheet the entire game. Don’t reward players who get subbed off. Also how DK does it.
@Sherman_FFB has anyone ever told you you look like a younger version of paul newman in the color of money? (who also comes out of “retirement” to make a deep run in a national tournament in that movie)
NEWS | Yunseo Chung, a 21-year-old Columbia University student, and former high school valedictorian, is suing the Trump administration over efforts to deport her. Chung, who moved to the U.S. from South Korea at age 7 and holds lawful permanent resident status, participated in pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia. Following her involvement in a protest on March 5, ICE agents visited her family’s residence and searched her dorm room, claiming her presence in the U.S. obstructs the administration’s foreign policy goals. Chung’s lawsuit alleges that ICE’s actions infringe upon her freedom of expression and are part of a broader crackdown on pro-Palestinian activists.

Israel killed my sister and her children tonight, along with her entire family.
Israel may kill us at will, burn us alive, and tear us apart, but it will never succeed in uprooting us from our land.
Justice and accountability await—no matter how long it takes.
