Leaders.
Be mindful of what you label as "important." Over time, people will catch on to what you truly value. And trust me, it won't look good when they figure out that what you once called "important" was just a way to get them to do your bidding.
Time will reveal things.
You and your team's calling and destiny is more important than the image you protect.
"Mada mada dane."
I pray we find grace to recognize it and to ask help to deal with it.
Ever heard this:
- I've done xxx years doing this.
- Di ko nga alam itatanong, bakit magpapa mentor pa?
- Di mo gets saan ang pinanggagalingan ko.
- I know what I'm doing.
Some leaders have driven the boat forward so much, the rowers quit of exhaustion.
Some leaders have taken care of the rowers so much, the boat never moved.
Where is the boat moving? And who are your rowers?
I pray we get to be better leaders today.
Leaders.
You are in charge of two things:
1. To move the boat forward: this is your business / work / responsibility
2. To take care of the rowers: this is your team.

Leadership when done right, is hard, tiring and costly.
It's a long process and takes a lot of effort and humility.
But when it's done right, the fruits of the long journey will always be worth it, and your people will thank you for it.
