@EstrogenChic It's not quite the same thing but x-com enemy unknown was a game known for being incredibly difficult and the devs made the canon ending to the game be that you lose like 30% into the games campaign which sets up the events of the second game.
@CryptoInvstr64@ByAllMeansMovie 2/2
But I guess she just means that Bear seemed like a good guy during his time with Nikki prior to the wish. Because that's fair as the movie does a good job making you sympathize with Bear initially.
@CryptoInvstr64@ByAllMeansMovie It's possible that Sara was lying because it's clear she was into Bear. Although it goes against everything else we see from her which suggested she was the only good friend to Bear.
Definitely seems weird for her to say he was a good guy. 1/2
@MetaFeatsDC Best scenario to this story is for him to do the same wish. Which was to love him "more than anybody else in the world" And for her to love him more than anybody else in the world but because nobody else loves him at all things stay exactly the same.
@mattconvente@KaoticLeftist Oh, luckily for you then you can go to the voting booth and look at the box for Democrats and then vote for whomever that person is.
@CameronCorduroy@RogerWallaceTX Probably not. But I also doubt that I could find you arguing against the idea. Which if you follow american democratic party politics you definitely have seen.
@pr0letaryan@commiejunior161 2: for bigger actors like companies in agriculture they will use part of those savings to influence politicians on things like immigration control.
@pr0letaryan@commiejunior161 Actually not good because it drives down wages and innovation. It's only good for pocket book of the companies that hire them. Nobody else reaps those benefits.
@pr0letaryan@commiejunior161 It's an underclass that can be treated like garbage and they can't risk pissing their boss off because the state is defacto going to side with their boss.
That's why nobody ever gets into serious trouble for hiring illegal immigrants. Think about it.
@pr0letaryan@commiejunior161 If you ACTUALLY want illegal immigration to end then you would punish the people that hire them. Without companies willing to employ them there's no reason to enter the country. Hell, the ones in the country would self deport.
But it's not about that at all.
