Six months ago, Jensen Huang said he "pretty much disagreed with almost everything" Dario Amodei says about AI. He accused Anthropic of fearmongering and trying to monopolize AI development. He said Dario believes "AI is so scary that only they should do it."

Then in November, NVIDIA invested $10 billion into Anthropic.

Now Jensen is at Davos saying Claude is "incredible" and "every software company needs to use it."

This tells you everything about where the real value in AI is shifting. Jensen didn't suddenly agree with Anthropic's philosophy on AI safety. He agreed with their engineering. Claude Code is eating enterprise software development so fast that NVIDIA, a hardware company, is publicly endorsing a specific model by name.

Time's reporting from December confirms it: Most engineers at NVIDIA are users of the tools. Not some. Most. The company that ships the GPUs powering the entire AI industry has its engineering org dependent on Claude for coding.

At Anthropic, staff engineers use Claude Code to help build the model's next iterations; Claude now writes up to 90% of its own code.

When the CEO of the world's most valuable company goes from calling you a doomer to calling your product incredible in six months, the product has crossed the threshold from "interesting" to "infrastructure."

I have lived in an area in chennai for the past decade where it is absolutely top tier dangerous especially at night with hooligans and criminals who are mostly high on substance. Many innocent construction worker friends in my studio site were attacked several times recently. One such criminal who was apprehended was just laughing without any pain when the police lathi charged as he was stoned beyond limits. Moreover most of these attackers are proud racists and blanket hate/attack people from other states. It is high time we acknowledge that many local political factions and several ‘caste’ based groups come running to support these mostly young boys who end up ruining many lives along with theirs. Can we please accept the realities of these incidents and act more realistically and save so many victims ? The lines between glorified violence on screen and real incidents such as the recent one have really started blurring and it is high time we act responsibly. Me included .
