We love the Rick Riordan Presents books. Both of us are @rickriordan fans and adore how he uses his platform to also showcase other writers. I don’t remember if we’ve talked about it much yet but our next episode on Durga has a tangent on it. I think the Valkyrie episode does too
Really excited to dive into @Roshani_Chokshi’s Aru Shah and the End of Time! I’m sure I’ll find lots of inspiration for future episodes of The Great and Terrible @GandT_Pod within these pages and learn a bunch along the way.
We asked a very important question in this weeks episode of The Great and Terrible, what house do you think Marlin from Finding Nemo is? Vote in the poll below and comment with your reasoning behind it! https://t.co/qBsDvBPwzE
We mentioned Jormungandr briefly in an episode about the Kraken but Elizabeth is excited to give him his own episode. Manya, not so much! https://t.co/TXQYjQTkUW
Jormungandr is the name of the Midgard serpent mentioned in the Poetic and Prose Edda. It lives in the ocean surrounding the world of humans and is eventually slain by Thor at Ragnarök. The snake also kills Thor, spraying him with poison moments before it dies.
@readriordan We just recorded an episode about Durga and mentioned the Aru Shah series since Durga is also from Hindu mythology. Neither of the hosts have read the series yet but both can’t wait to dive in.
@NaNoWriMo@campfiretechllc The Great and Terrible podcast @GandT_Pod just released an episode on the Hero’s Journey, comparing different steps to the plot of Finding Nemo. Might be an interesting listen. https://t.co/ujtnRjHwxF
Don’t resist the call to adventure, let us be your magical mentor and help you cross the threshold to the Other World and learn about the Hero’s Journey on our most recent episode! give us a listen at https://t.co/1tqDSLs9H3 #podcasts#adventure#hero#FolkloreThursday#basic
@jmamato In Roman Catholic tradition, of course Jesus can't have a twin. However, there are several apocryphal gospels, like the Gospel of Thomas, that suggest otherwise. We plan on doing a deep dive into it because it's complicated but very interesting.
If you haven't listened to Episode 11 on Castor and Pollux you should, we mention these twins as well as some others. It's fascinating! https://t.co/nQfk4PhMds
