@SamOlbur 100%. This is such a great take Sam.
Arraezโs hit tool with the speed and defense of Nico is a unicorn in this league.
Arraez is only undervalued because of his lack of a position and lack of speed.
@black_42 Rome was on pace for 77 rec, 1,148 yards and 12 TDS before he broke his foot in week 8. All while playing alongside DJ Moore. Statistically this is comparable to AJ Brown, Nico Collins, Courtland Sutton and Tet McMillan, who are all #1 WRs on their respective playoff teams.
@PPRFantasyTips DJ Moore had 60 catches and 600 yards on a division winning team and is due $25 million. this trade has potential to net them Crosby and a top veteran C (due to money saved from DJ contract) AND possibly a defensive starter drafted with the 2nd round pick. Relax with this take.
@FAmmiranteTFJ @SamskiNYC 100%. DJ was paid $25 million to be the Bears #1 WR. They drafted Loveland and Burden and immediately the Bears realized their other receivers are just better and won the division for the first time in a decade w/o forcing him the ball. Love the player. Just not worth the $.
@BriskerSZN They replace the money paid to Dalman with a new center and might have more money to spend since Dalman was the 3rd highest paid center. Their offseason plans don't change except for finding a veteran center replacement, which are plentiful in Free Agency.
@FAmmiranteTFJ Agreed. Youโre Up 2-1. The one thing you canโt do is give Canada a PP. Two penalties later and youโve made the first minute of the 3rd mean everything.
@DarrylConrad@LanceJones27 @T4ylorJames Also, last I checked Aiyuk literally chose to not play for the 49ers. He is choosing a new opportunity. Your argument has legitimately been deemed wrong by a player months ago.
@DarrylConrad@LanceJones27 @T4ylorJames Free Agency was built for players to make decisions. If you want the ability to leave and go for opportunities, sign a one year deal, every year. Stop arguing that coaches and players are equals. Fans dont pay to watch the OC in the booth. Coaches cant make $50 mil per year.
@DarrylConrad@LanceJones27 @T4ylorJames Players can โhold outโ and request a trade or a new contract. Thatโs their leverage and itโs been done plenty of times. Lastly, Burden is the Bears #1 WR in 2026. No question.
@DarrylConrad@LanceJones27 @T4ylorJames Coaches can leave for upward moving positions. If itโs a lateral move it requires permission. Ex: Cunningham can leave since he moves up to a GM position.
Otherwise, their contract stands unless terminated. Players play out their contracts unless cut. Not complicated.
@FAmmiranteTFJ I have no argument here because I agree with you. I am just stating that the same side platoon weakness is just so odd to me for good hitters. His success in the postseason, even in a small sample size, makes it more confusing because it didn't look like "luck" to me.
@TonythePodBoss@bdub2333@KruseSports_@scar179nyc It's confirmed that the play was a new route concept. Caleb threw the ball to where DJ's route was supposed to end up. Both Rome and DJ ran incorrect routes. DJ supposed to cut across field, in front of safety. Rome supposed to cut towards the opposite pylon. Ben took the blame.
