Before Dr. B. R. Ambedkar was even born in 1891, Bengali women had already broken educational barriers and made history.
• Rassundari Devi (1809–1900) taught herself to read and wrote Amar Jiban, the first autobiography in Bengali by a woman.
• Sarada Devi (1853–1920) learned to read and write despite strict social restrictions and later managed major religious and administrative responsibilities.
• Kadambini Ganguly (1861–1923) became one of the first female graduates in the British Empire and one of India's first women doctors.
• Chandramukhi Bose (1860–1944) became one of the first female graduates in India and later the first woman Principal of Bethune College.
• Bidhumukhi Bose and Bindubasini Bose graduated from Calcutta Medical College in 1890 and 1891 respectively.
• Swarnakumari Devi (1855–1932) was a renowned writer, editor, and social reformer.
The claim that Indian women had absolutely no access to education before the Constitution is historically inaccurate. Bengali women were pursuing education, literature, medicine, and leadership decades before Ambedkar's birth.

I am a Chakraborty too.
Maybe because I was on the Right side of geography, I never faced what Agami Chakraborty and many young Hindu women, girls faced. Are facing relentlessly.
Many ask why families like these, like Late Ganapati Chakraborty's, do not leave their country, go, live elsewhere?
What they do not understand is Bangladesh is a Hindu country where 99.9% are Muslim converts.
And also, a huge percentage of present Bangladeshis are Razakars.
R@p€ children.
Results of the brutality that East Pakistan Army, militants unleashed on approx 5 lac Hindu Bengali women during 1971 war.
Respected Hindu families have lived in Bangladesh when there was no trace of Islam.
If someone knocks on your door and ask you to leave immediately, will you be able to do so?
Will you be able to leave that place which you have eternally known as your home, land of your ancestors?
This is exactly what Hindus in Bangladesh are going thorough.
Their work, livelihood, families, relatives, businesses, festivals all are there.
That is the country they were born it and grew into maturity, adulthood.
Even on the face of persecution they do not leave.
They try to adjust. Fight it out.
When alive, they live under perpetual fear.
And this is how they die.
R@p€d, killed, eyes gouged out, acid poured on face.
Only because they kept their spines straight and didn't convert.
