@Mozzer2015@Killybegsgirl@Simonc46176551 unfair to compare cheap battery farmed chicken & pork, those comes at a cost too. Look at Lough Neagh... Ireland needs to learn how to cook & eat seasonal fish #eatmorefish
@rosgalpod@hermannkelly@Killybegsgirl Price of everything has gone up, and so did the most popular fish. 👉 eat more fish and enjoy value. Overall because of the hardship trying to sell fish on the Irish market, prices remains a lot cheaper here than the equivalent in the rest of the EU.
@Simonc46176551@Killybegsgirl 👍 So do we, but far from the majority who is either afraid to eat it or cook it. One day a week Market fish stall are usually most sufficient to meet the demand in most Town. Operating a fish shop on its own is a different all game
@hermannkelly@Killybegsgirl Very sad indeed to see one our confrere closing business but nothing to do with our fish quota & the EU…. Irish consumers are simply not really interested into fish or seafood. If the Irish fishing fleet were getting more quota, it would be exported like most of it is anyway.
