"Sheriff Fatman," released in 1989, became their breakthrough single, pairing biting social satire with punk energy and samples in a way that felt unlike anything else in British indie music. This live performance at Brixton Academy in 1991 captures Carter USM at the height of their early success, with the crowd responding to the song that helped define their career.
