@Smallholder The UK will never get off its knees while the tories are in power. They do not care about the country, only their founders and their bank balances.
While the angries rage against a few hundred people entering the UK, remember that nobody has done as much damage to this country as the parliamentary Conservative party since 2016. They're the people we should be worried about.
@peterwalker99@ruthiehayes67 Put simply, we now live in a fascist state where this sort of hate speech will become common with ‘us’ and ‘them’ being the excuse for atrocious words and actions.
@Otto_English It how the tories win, and stay in power, whip up hate and convince the gullible that the immigrants that are ‘them’, not ‘us’ and the immigrants will steal you jobs and ruin your life, when it is the government, and the Tory party, that are responsible for this horror show!
This, so very very much this. Breaks my heart what we have left behind! Just because some money/power grabbing tories wanted to trash this country for their benefit.
I am sorting my dashcam footage from last couple of month and got to my car journey from Glasgow to Helsinki and I thought it can show you nicely what Brexit means
(a small 🧵)
Make no mistake, this world is fucked. Politicians have no interest in sorting this out, they are focussed on staying in power, all else is secondary. Until humanity puts aside our differences and start thinking & working as one, things will not change https://t.co/eh0vK2nJqu
Two things to remember about the tories...
(1) they don’t think they are fascist and bigoted, they simply believe they are right, and
(2) they don’t care what you think of them, and never will
So Suella Braverman stays as Home Secretary as a warped reward. For the right. For cruelty. For arrogance. For refugee-blaming. For a jeopardised Indian trade deal. For a sham resignation with 3 months severance pay. Braverman is a hater & her appt is the first big Sunak mistake.
The tories always have, and always will, act solely in their own interests. They are not, never have been, and never will be, a party of the people (unless the people are rich)
Johnson unwittingly describing the Tory party, just perfectly.
He’d hate to see his own words used to expose the Con’s frantic attempts to spin the image of their future as being unconnected to their past.
So pls don’t share ;-)
