The Spain semifinal yesterday is the second time I've ever re-watched a game on the same day.
Spain's dismantling of France was so complete, they made the best players in the world look avg. The other re-watch was the similarly dominant 2010 semifinal 1-0 win over Germany.
@BrendanNyhan I’m curious what you think are appropriate ways to evaluate students these days. Just in-person written exams? For technical classes? For humanities classes? Is it even worth giving credit for anything take home (including problem sets)?
@signulll Lived in a major city in Japan and in Europe and been in NYC a few months now.
Sirens are at least an order of magnitude louder. Also, what’s going on with everyone acting like clanging radiators are normal?
NYC is great but on this matter, y’all are collectively gas lit.
#Anthropic's new shareable #Artifacts are crazy. It built a language learning app I spent a few months working on in 10 min. Check out the artifact: https://t.co/ljfHksI5fp #Claude
@A_led and I have been working on a little something
The idea is to have a daily 5-min passage with content you at your level. We think this keeps #languagelearning interesting and also lowers the barrier to entry into native material. Try it out here :D https://t.co/BiaaRsjo8x
#李琴峰 wrote a book called #彼岸花が咲く島 that weaves language and East Asian history into a compelling and unique narrative. In the short piece below, I argue why it can only be read in #Japanese.
