The antisemitism royal commission made two big mistakes — will these compromise their findings? https://t.co/Sn9fTTnzub
Bell has been given an impossible task…a politically craven RC with terms of reference and a pre ordained dubious baseline definition of antisemitism.
I agree with Jenin Younes here.
It took me years -- actually decades -- to let go of my earlier belief in what can be called liberal or progressive Zionism and to finally accept that the imposition of a Jewish state on a place that was and still is majority non-Jewish can be done only through force and by the expulsion and mass murder or thorough oppression of the people who were originally there.
@Hepworthclare Such as? What did Starmer do about inequality, cost of living, climate change and Gaza? Put up bus fares, blame immigrants, lock up climate and Gaza protesters, cut winter fuel payments and welfare
@nicholasjenkins@Hepworthclare Labour MPs got rid of Starmer because they thought they would lose their seats given his unpopularity across the political spectrum. Burnham gives them a glimmer of hope. The early signs aren’t great though
@pictureladyjan@Hepworthclare@tommy54w@MAGNIK26@Carriegusewize He ditched the policies he was elected to leadership on, demonised the left in his party and locks up anti genocide protesters while supporting Israel in Gaza. Does this not fit the description, Jan?
@_Hinkypunk@Hepworthclare@tommy54w@MAGNIK26@Carriegusewize You don’t think they were heading back to the opposition benches under Starmer ? I don’t know if Burnham will be any better than Starmer but this outrage over his inevitable replacement is laughable
