20 years ago today, Microsoft announced XNA Game Studio, a free set of tools for game development, worked on Windows, Xbox 360 and Windows Phone. This tool helped thousands of devs getting started, including well know companies today. today would be very different w it.
Officially on xmas break! Been quiet over here as I worked through a whirlwind first 6 months at @SideQuestVR, working on our social VR platform @BanterVR. In that time I've:
🖥️ Ported Banter from Quest-only to PCVR on Steam
🎮 PCVR support for knuckles, Vive wands and Touch
And I did all of the above working a 4-day, 32 hour week, fully remotely.
So yeah, happy holidays and here's to my fellow gamedevs in 2024 refusing to crunch in an office when there's no need for it.
