In the heart of Europe, 9 million people are denied the right to choose their own future.
But Belarusians have not given up.
We remember who we are.
We know what we deserve.
Freedom will come. 🤍❤️🤍
A Belarusian blogger used AI to fake a scene of people with white-red-white flags in central Minsk—and sent it to police.
Within minutes, three armed police vehicles rushed to the location. Of course, no one was there. Officers kept searching imaginary dissent.
Glad to greet Valiantsin Stefanovich from @viasna96 in Warsaw. Despite years of imprisonment, he remains full of energy.
Our human rights defenders, journalists, and activists never stop. Even after prison, they continue their work with courage and dignity.
Arrests & new political cases continue to appear daily in Belarus.
Lukashenko’s Investigative Committee reported that it has opened a political criminal case against TV host, singer & member of our faction in the Coordination Council @rada_vision, Kaciaryna Vadanosava.
On March 25, we mark Belarusian Freedom Day, a symbol of resistance against oppression.
It is also the day when Belarusian-🇵🇱 journalist and Sakharov Prize laureate Andrzej @Poczobut was arrested in 2021.
Let us remember him and all political prisoners and show our solidarity.
I am glad to confirm that all released political prisoners from Belarus have crossed the border and are now safe. Some are in Lithuania, others in Ukraine. We are grateful to 🇺🇦 and President @ZelenskyyUa for accepting them. Hopefully, all will soon be able to hug their families.
On the night of October 29-30, 1937, more than 100 Belarusian poets, writers & artists were executed by Stalin’s NKVD in Minsk. Now, political prisoners are held again in the same prison.
We must end this vicious cycle and make sure that such terror never returns to our country.
We condemn Lukashenka’s latest provocations against Lithuania.
These hybrid attacks—like those with migrants—aim to test @NATO’s security & harm the 🇱🇹 & 🇪🇺 economy.
We support sanctions such as stopping the transit of goods, while keeping borders open for passenger travel.
At just 25, political prisoner Mikita Yemialyanau is going blind behind bars in Belarus.
For almost 6 years, the regime has kept extending his term, denying him even basic medicine. This is slow, deliberate destruction of a young man’s health.
Mikita must be freed.
On this day in 2020, nearly 200,000 Belarusians filled the streets in the peaceful Heroes March. The regime answered with violence and terror—over 1,000 arrests in a single day.
But our fight for freedom did not end then, and it will not end until Belarus is free.
