♟🤝 Chess unites! 🇮🇳 Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi (@narendramodi) presented 🇺🇿 President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev (@president_uz) with the original handwritten scoresheet from Javokhir Sindarov’s (@GMJSindarov) 2025 FIDE World Cup final in Goa.
Indian PM Narendra Modi gifts Uzbekistan’s President the original handwritten scoresheet from Grandmaster Javokhir Sindarov’s historic 2025 FIDE World Cup final win in Goa.
India’s exemplary GDP growth of 7.8% during Q1 of FY 2026-27 is a herculean feat.
The collective strength of our people ensured India delivered such growth despite oil price shocks and supply chain issues in the midst of global uncertainties.
Doomsayers were doomed and India bloomed…yet again!
We live in an India where:
Birthday of Prophet Muhammad is a national holiday.
Birthday of Jesus Christ is a national Holiday.
Birthday of Gandhi is a national holiday.
But Birthday of Shri Rāma is NOT a national holiday.
I know!
Regarding the FIDE council meeting, I don’t follow chess politics and leave it to the experts.
In politics, I care more about issues relative to India and it’s neighbourhood .
Regarding wars, it seems every country has a free run to attack any country they prefer. A few countries are given free rights to kill as they please and others are denied the same. More the weapons, more the money, more the political clout, more the control over the narrative, given more the rights to kill.
Double standards and a complete lack of ethics seem to be the yardstick.
Any war not sanctioned by the UN should be equally despicable and should be judged in the same manner.
I don’t want to choose some lives over others no matter which race, ethnicity, language, or geographical location they belong to.
I don’t think sports persons or anyone belonging to any profession should be penalised for the actions of their governments, unless they do something illegal themselves or provide support to those illegal acts.
Bangladesh!!
His name was Ganpati... The day before yesterday, Bangladeshi miscreants wiped out his entire family!!
The man's body was found on the roof, his wife and daughter's bodies on the stairs, and the child's body under the bed...
The wife and daughter were gang-r@ped... It is suspected that the rape continued even after d€ath!!
You might recall... a similar triple murder of a Hindu family took place 4-5 years ago in Murshidabad, West Bengal. The head of the family was named Dinabandhu Pal...
The Government of India is preparing to welcome Bangladesh's PM Tarique Rahman to India to foster brotherly relations...
My neighbour Pakistan has illegally occupied parts of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and FIDE allows them to play in official events all these years.
The day Europe starts applying same standards elsewhere, I would start paying little bit more attention to what happens in their neighbourhood.
