Following six deaths on the roads in the last day, An Garda Síochána & the RSA are issuing an urgent appeal to drivers to take greater care on the roads.

Hazardous roads are likely in the coming days as Met Eireann has issued warnings for heavy rain-fall and localised flooding.

At 5.30 this morning firefighters from Tara Street and Dolphins Barn fire stations were called to a well developed fire in an apartment block off Francis Street.

Using a ladder, two people were rescued from the roof while the rest of the building evacuated. Four units attended

Firefighters were called today to a person stuck in a precarious position after the family pet also became trapped.

We were able to help the person to safety using a turntable ladder.

@Luas just got off at charlemont. Used a validator, but the screen on it wasn't working. Wasn't sure it had tagged me off so I used another one, but turns out it did tag me off and now I'm tagged back on, but not using the LUAS. How do i go about voiding the non-journey?
