I took my citizenship Oath and officially became a Canadian citizen today. The people I met and worked with since arriving here as a Syrian refugee in 2017 have been overwhelmingly generous and kind. I’m truly honoured to be a citizen of this great country.
@duolingo The new voices you are incorporating into French lessons are awful. Can we have a way to opt back to the traditional voices? Some of these new ones are difficult to understand, aside from being buffoons.

@redmcgraw1 @newsmanbluesman Ok let’s call it 10 months. Let’s say they were working for 36 months on a vaccine based on previous work for a disease that didn’t exist. You’ve missed my point. You’re so Twitter. #Mansplainer
@redmcgraw1 @newsmanbluesman I am pro vaccine & pro good public policy. So will I take at face value a vaccine that normally would take 4-5 years to develop is safe in 8 months? No. Especially from a US govt rife with politics in public health policy. I want a safe vaccine. A govt that approved the 747max.
