@grantcohn Grant if you know best and what to make a true impact for the miners, why don’t you apply for a job there? As a scouting agent or a film reviewer? It seems you’re so knowledgeable about football and know better than the niners so why not put your talents to good use!
So happy for my wonderful patient! I did 14 veneers/crowns and a gum lift (crown lengthening) to give her a brand new smile!! She has always wanted to improve her smile but hadn’t been to the dentist in a while as she was not a big fan of dental visits (who is?? 😂). She finally decided to take the next step and she couldn’t be happier. I gave her a brand new smile but also tackled a lot of large cavities she had, hence why she needed some crowns. Now she takes amazing care of her teeth and never misses an appointment!
So happy for my amazing kind long time patient!! Here is her new smile after 10 veneers and a gum lift! She’s been my patient for a while now and finally decided to bite the bullet and improve her smile. She had a very gummy smile and very small teeth. I lifted her gums with crown lengthening and did 10 veneers to increase the size of her teeth and make it whiter. She’s so happy she decided to do a smile makeover and she looks at least 10 years younger!! My patient is a joy to be around and we had a lot of fun during this process. I know she’ll miss not coming to my office so often, but such is life 😂
Here is one of my favorite cases for my wonderful patient!! She initially broke her front teeth for a little fall she had from drinking a little too much 😂 now that she’s a responsible adult she was ready to take care of herself and her teeth and ready for a brand new smile!! We did 10 veneers and it looks SO GOOD!! No lip filler needed!! So happy for my patient who is always so happy and hilarious. We shared lots of laughs and jokes throughout which makes the process just as enjoyable as seeing the final results!!
Replacing old composites and an old veneer with new veneers! My patient had been on Invisalign for forever and that was the only thing stopping him from getting his veneers. He wasn’t very complaint 😂 but he FINALLY finished and he finally got his new veneers and a beautiful smile!

A BEAUTIFUL result for my wonderful 78 year old patient! She’s been my patient for 5 years now and has wanted veneers for a while. She finally bit the bullet and she couldn’t be happier! She already looks great for her age but her new veneers literally make her look 10 years younger! First she said she didn’t want them too white but then the longer she wore the temporary veneers, the more white she wanted it. She said “veneers are like diamonds honey, the longer you wear it, the smaller and duller it looks and you just want it bigger and brighter” 😂 we found a happy medium where it’s white but still looks very natural and blends in with her smile and face.
I loved working on this smile transformation for my longtime patient, Leslie. She came to me wanting to close some gaps, brighten her teeth, and create a fuller, more youthful smile — all while keeping things natural and true to herself.
We replaced a few old crowns and bridges and placed minimally prepped porcelain veneers to unify the shade and shape of her smile. One of the biggest improvements was closing the black triangles near the gumline, which helped her smile look more complete and balanced.
I always say the two front teeth are the foundation of a great smile. When they’re shaped just right — slightly longer, soft but strong — everything else falls into place. That’s exactly what we did for Leslie.
The final result is subtle but impactful: a smile that fits her perfectly and brings out her natural confidence.

Now that the budget bill has passed Congress, we can see what the projections look like for deficits, government debt, and debt service expenses. In brief, the bill is expected to lead to spending of about $7 trillion a year with inflows of about $5 trillion a year, so the debt, which is now about 6x of the money taken in, 100 percent of GDP, and about $230,000 per American family, will rise over ten years to about 7.5x the money taken in, 130 percent of GDP, and $425,000 per family. That will increase interest and principal payments on the debt from about $10 trillion ($1 trillion in interest, $9 trillion in principal) to about $18 trillion (of which $2 trillion is interest payments), which will lead to either a big squeezing out (and cutting off) of spending and/or unimaginable tax increases, or a lot of printing and devaluing of money and pushing interest rates to unattractively low levels. This printing and devaluing is not good for those holding bonds as a storehold of wealth, and what’s bad for bonds and US credit markets is bad for everyone because the US Treasury market is the backbone of all capital markets, which are the backbones of our economic and social conditions. Unless this path is soon rectified to bring the budget deficit from roughly 7% of GDP to about 3% by making adjustments to spending, taxes, and interest rates, big, painful disruptions will likely occur.

One of my current projects is a science fiction novel, which seems kind of out of left field.
But the coolest part of the process is that it keeps forcing me to do deep dives on several technologies that I'd not monitored closely for a while given everything else going on.
I don’t think this is true. I do think we’re evolving to not have wisdom teeth because I have more and more patients who don’t have all four wisdom teeth. On top of that, patients who have wisdom teeth, if they’re fine, we leave it. If it is horizontal it can cause issues to the tooth in front or the gum area. Then it has to be removed. I’ve seen many cases where the tooth in front has to be removed because they left the impacted wisdom teeth for too long. It’s a case by case basis, don’t assume that everyone needs to keep their wisdom teeth
