It has occurred to me that I haven’t been tweeting lately so i thought i would take a moment to congratulate the Aggies and Coach Jans on moving to the second round and hopefully the Sweet 16. Anyone around who attended the last time? I was there.
Yesterday Kathy and I celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary. 3 kids, 6 grandkids, 2 great grandkids. Great life together. To quote a C&W song, "It couldn't have been any better if I had been to the top of the world".
Years ago Ann Murray, in a song reflecting all the troubles in the world at that time, sang "I should could use a little good news today". Well, I have good news - the Dodgers are the World Series winners. TB Rays are a great team. They will do same soon!
I have cast my ballot and now I may have to hear those nasty political commercials but I don't have to listen to them. Vote early and you too will not have to listen to them.
I will celebrate my 81st birthday on Saturday. I thought I would treat myself so I bought a new carburetor for my 1964 Thunderbird. Couldn't think of a better gift.
Kathy and I are celebrating 59 years of marriage today. We have been blessed with a great life together - 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and a great granddaughter, lots of friends, and a rewarding career. God has been with us.
There was no joy in Dodgerville the mighty Dodgers have struck out. Good teams do lose. Credit to the underdogs the National. That is why they play the games.
Just received this photo from home. The family has adopted a new kitty. The new kitty (a bobcat) just dropped by, had some water, took a brief nap and then hit the trail. Wow.
Celebrating my 80th birthday by playing from the forward golf tees (formerly ladies tee) at NMSU. Other advantages of being 80 plus: early to bed late to rise, drive slow and hold up traffic, drink box wine and ignore the critics, and watch old western movies. Life is good.
Receiving a photo from Prakash Sundaran, owner of the new hotel on NMSU campus. Beautiful Courtyard Marriott. I am proud to have been part of our team that made this happen. When you are in town check in. Very nice.
I want to thank Senator Stuart Ingle for appointing me to the new NM Ethics Commision. Over 10 years ago I co-chaired a task force recommending that NM have such an agency. Some things take time. Look forward to continuing my interest in ethics.
