The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Watch at 1:45 PM on Thursday for the region that Camp Mystic is in. That's 14 hours before the Flash Flood hit these kids.
Then, 3 hours before the flood hit them, the NWS issued a Flash Flood WARNING (Warnings mean things are actually happening right now, and to get to safety)

But camp administrators were negligent, and somehow didn't pay any attention to either. And, they didn't even have anyone outside of the area monitoring weather for them. If you look at Camp Mystic on Google Maps, you see the small cabins these little girls died in are right down on the river bank.

Had the camp staff or administration or owners done their job, protecting the lives of the attendees in their care, they would have acted first, first on the Flash Flood Watch... and been ready... with a plan... and then executed it then, getting the kids out of there, or implementing a standby safety plan to get to high ground....Or CALL PARENTS.... or at least when the NWS issued the Flash Flood Warning.. which means get those kids away from that tributary stream (Cypress Creek, which is only 1500 feet from the South Fork Guadalupe River) which experienced severe flooding and ultimately killed them.

This is not rocket science. Take out the emotion, and it's pretty clear that in 2025 with all the weather technology we have at our fingertips, that little kids should never be LOST because adults don't have their shit together... yet that's what happened.
