Every summer, residents of Zirakpur are forced to endure relentless power cuts, and this year is no different. Since last night, there has been no electricity—reportedly due to wire damage. This is what happens when electricity infrastructure is left to rot without timely maintenance. The repeated breakdowns and sluggish response from the authorities shows their inefficiency.
