Garth Stein is the author of four novels, including The Art of Racing in the Rain. Book Thrree of his graphic novel series, The Cloven, is in bookstores now!
I'll be there to enjoy songs inspired by The Art of Racing in the Rain (and some Cloven!). Bushwick Book Club Seattle is the best! And so is @KirkPerfCtr Join us! Come one, come all! https://t.co/tpJ209dKu5
@TheMikeSalk As for Belichick, we should have no sympathy. We all know Belichick used f**kery to win, e.g. Spy gate. If you use f**kery to win, you have to accept that f**kery may be used against you--and you lose. Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you. Great interview!
I’d like to know what’s really going on behind closed doors that’s so important they have to pull out the Wrongly Deported Man shell game to distract us. Check your pockets, everyone.
Hey @seattletimes it seems you forgot the @SoundersFC on your comprehensive sports listing for this weekend. Saturday at 7! (And don't say it's because it's only streaming. That's lame. It's a local team and it's the playoffs.) @sounderatheart https://t.co/TfpV9MQxXu
I just got autocorrected on "a far away land" to "a faraway land." Huh. Idk. A faraway land sounds like a place you grow wheat, not a distant magical place. It needs that visual breath of two words, you know? Hmm... I think they need me on the Usage Panel.
Working on the words for Book 3 of The Cloven, and so few words are needed when @mattsouthworth can express so much with a few scratches of white on a black background. #eisnerawards@fantagraphics
“In almost the same way we’re constantly shedding skin cells, plastics are constantly shedding little bits that break off, such as when you open that plastic container for your store-bought salad or a cheese that’s wrapped in plastic.” https://t.co/LqgeHuFVDV
I spent 5 min fighting the cellophane wrapper on a pkg of gum and I thought 1). Who decided to make gum the most difficult thing on the planet to unwrap? and 2). How many ppb of microplastics did I ingest fingering this cellophane for 5 min? I can feel the plastic inside me now.
@BradMiller1010 "Functionally illiterate" speaks to the idea of the way we, as a society, ignore the benefits of reading literature, specifically, increased empathy.
Hey @mattsouthworth do you ever wish you had an artificial intelligence to read all the books you want to read and allow you to access total understanding of everything in a millisecond? @elonmusk
Can someone please tell the guy sitting next to me that’s it’s really poor form to talk about how many planes DON’T crash while waiting on the tarmac for take-off?
