@DesiMonarch_ @neha_laldas If In a cadre there are 15 seats reserved for SC ST, and of which 10 are vacant in 2026. If the government decides to fill 15 seats in 2026, the govt can reserve 10 seats for SC ST, 3 for OBC 2 for EWS and 0 for GC. Thanks to 82nd ammendment.

When you try to fudge the data for pushing unconstitutional reservations, you end up with this type of absurdity.

If we take BJP's submission at face value, then should it continue in power?

The hearing on the 72% quota case is set to resume in Bombay High Court today.
Senior Advocate Mr. Pradeep Sancheti is set to continue his arguments today.

Maharashtra BJP govt has used blatantly faulty methodology and manufactured data to justify 72% quota.
According to Supreme Court judgement in M R Balaji, Mandal Commission and NCBC methodology, a caste should be 25% below the state average to be classified in the OBC list.
It means, a particular caste should be compared with the state average on various parameters.
But Maharashtra BJP govt has done the study only for Maratha community and Other General Category and concluded that Marathas meet extraordinary and exceptional condition to exceed 50% limit.
Even in comparison between Maratha Community and Other General Category, BJP govt has fudged data to present distorted facts to the court.

Learned counsels representing GC petitioners will point out all these flaws to the court.
