Last week, I spoke at a local church’s date night, focusing my talk on my book, Cherish. I love that book, and I love talking about it because I’ve seen how raising the bar from love to love and cherish truly can transform a good marriage into a great one, and a disappointing marriage into one held sacred. https://t.co/22uLUNDGhe

A month or two ago, I interviewed Kevin and Sherry Harney on what it means to be devoted to your spouse. If you haven’t seen it, I encourage you to watch it, Recharge Your Marriage with Marital Devotion. I mentioned in that post about another video I shot with the Harneys years ago. They typify to me how serving God together knits a married couple’s hearts like nothing else, and I said we should re-run that interview, since it happened so long ago. https://t.co/4IKU7jk1dp

You don’t have to make your family “perfect” to love it and enjoy it. Comparison leads to discouragement and even despair. You don’t have to go there. Read this blog: https://t.co/8QOZ83QKvx

We often hear compatibility described as the be-all and end-all of a happy, successful marriage. Admittedly, if God said to me, “Gary, I’m going to give you the easiest marriage and the easiest life anyone has ever known,” I wouldn’t be disappointed. But what if your marriage could testify to God’s power and not just your compatibility as a couple? Continue reading, https://t.co/FrGF7pz19c

In a follow-up to our broadcast "Rediscovering God's Love, Joy, and Peace," Gary Thomas returns to offer more insights from his recent book "The Life You Were Reborn to Live" in which he exposes lies that keep many Christians from having a close connection with God. Gary continues to explain how we can live in truth and cultivate practices that lead to a richly satisfying and fulfilling relationship with our Creator. https://t.co/bpXRghGiaS

I'm beginning work on a series of devotionals that go from Genesis to Revelation, focusing on God's self-descriptions. These will be short, one-a-day devotionals, and of course, the first one has to be that God reveals Himself to be our creator. Continue reading...https://t.co/QG89kCOrIT

Things are rolling at Zondervan regarding my next book. The final title is When Christian Parents Hurt: How to Find Comfort, Face Grief, and Trust God with Your Adult Child. This is not a “how to” book. I’m not a psychologist or parenting expert who can fix dysfunctional or broken families. It’s a pastoral book. So many families are hurting, and I want to offer some pastoral comfort, care, and biblical counsel. Continue reading here: https://t.co/A0eHDXrYdR

What JI Packer wrote fifty years ago seems prophetic today. I'm going to share an excerpt showing just how insightful Packer was, and how precarious our situation has become. Fortunately, Packer also points the way back. Continue reading this blog: https://t.co/dnqQo4hO3X
