@Thomo_Grant The stand rule makes our game look like a kindergarten exercise. It needs to go. The 50m penalty needs to be taken away from umpires as it is never applied correctly or fairly. There's 4 of them but they still miss important decisions because they are so far behind the play.

@SaintsNationAU The umpiring has been bad in 2026, but today it was insanely bad. Spectators dumbfounded, players confused, 50m penalties for nothing, others missed. Every time the whistle went, it was a lottery as to what the decision was.

@rohan_connolly I'm a bit older, I guess, but in the late 60's to early 70's Alf Brown's match previews in The Herald on Fridays, were compulsory reading. Beautifully written and no player was ever denigrated.
