@RubberBones_@GregCrennan Pretty obvious that sanctions have a basically instantaneous effect on commodity prices, which quickly passes through. Most crypto people give too much weight to monetary drivers of inflation while ignoring real drivers.
Unlike US, Canada, Australia and petrostates, they can do this relatively unencumbered by the political shackles of an extractive domestic fossil lobby 2/2
Completely wrong diagnosis by @ShellenbergerMD. EU especially has more reason than ever to accelerate cleantech and move to a resilient, distributed, import free system. They will need to prioritise this for security not just greenwashing 1/2
Acerbic, sobering: “The West’s Green Delusions Empowered Putin. While we banned plastic straws, Russia drilled and doubled nuclear energy production.” https://t.co/8jDaLwLvfl
We need strong reputation system that can be leveraged in time of crisis to understand what is real and what is fake.
Instead of trying to ddos now community should be able to clearly provide facts why a website is spreading false info and browsers can show that instead.
@sassal0x Fiat offramps for ETH could close. If Russia gets kicked out of SWIFT, do you think other sanctioned will just let crypto transfers in or out of Russia take its place?!
Очень расстроен решением Путина отказаться от возможности мирного решения спора с Украиной и вместо этого начать войну. Это преступление против украинского и русского народа.
Хочу желать всем безопасности, хотя знаю, что не какой безопасности не будет.
Слава Украине.
