This is probably the biggest scandal in World Cup history.
USA striker Folarin Balogun committed this outrageous foul against Bosnia and was shown a straight red card… but here’s where it gets crazy.
The White House publicly contacted FIFA and the tournament organizers, asking them to lift his suspension. And they actually did. Balogun is now eligible to play against Belgium.
The organizers cited something called a “probation period,” meaning the red card still stands, but instead of serving the mandatory suspension, he’ll only be punished if he commits a similar offense again.
A blatant manipulation of the rules for everyone to see, especially considering red-card suspensions are not supposed to be appealable.
When you’re expelled from school, but your dad is the Principal. 😭
@policylaila The rules are very clear, prior to any candidate becoming an MP any monies received over £300 in the 12 months before election must be declared after the election! Farage got elected he didn’t declare the £5m!
🚨 BREAKING:
Trump’s sons became partners in a Kazakh mining company.
Right after the company received a $1.6 billion government contract in the US!
Are we having fun yet, America?
We become MPs at the same time. I had to declare my final wage from the job I held BEFORE becoming an MP because it was within 12 months of the election.
In what universe would one MP need to declare that and another not have to declare this?
@DaddyCoffee73@crowmogh@Nigel_Farage I thought no one could twist the truth more than Farage, Honest Bob Jenrick knocks it out of the Park. Key issue is that Farage didn’t declare all the monies he received in the previous 12 months once he became an MP. The rules apply to new MPs, had he not been elected no issue!
