@ZeStorminMormon The residential property owners who built their homes in a residential district with ordinances to limit structure height and protect dark skies so we may enjoy the nocturnal environment do not find a temple with 65’ walls, 173’ spire, and bright wall-wash uplighting “beautiful”.
@ShaunMcKnight SLC and LDS Stake Leadership have seem to be pushing a design that does not fit into the neighborhood. The are representing this structure as a two story building when it features 65’ walls and 173’+ spire. Fairview Ordinance is 35’ max roof height in this location. \2
@ShaunMcKnight The McKinney Temple is welcome addition to the Town of Fairview. What’s being proposed needs to comply with our ordinances governing structure height, lighting level and operating hours, storm water drainage, and traffic. \1
