INDIANA JONES AND THE DIAL OF DESTINY actually deals with its hero’s age as he moves further away in time and still has a ton of fun with its action sequences. This is absolutely a @mang0ld picture with a top notch Harrison Ford. Absolutely loved the third act. #IndianaJones
Third 28 YEARS LATER movie would very likely not make money in theaters, no matter the approach, but finishing that trilogy feels to me like something you do for the sake of the art rather than for the profits. I don't know that Sony feels the same way. But I sure hope they do.
It’s just nice that for my entire life Sam Raimi has always just been that dude. He’s just always been out there making some of the wildest, goriest, stylish, heartfelt movies in Hollywood, and doing it all with the kind face of a midwestern brewer.
programming note: in case anyone wonders why I’m not reviewing movies for a while, I’m on book leave for the next 7 weeks! is that long enough for me to write a book? haha no it is not. is it long enough for me to figure out HOW to write a book? lol
also no but let’s dream big.
Sam Raimi is back in a big way with his new movie, SEND HELP! Great script, great cast, great directing, a great time at the movies in every way! And the less you know about it going in, the better.
“I wanna dedicate this award to all the people that had to leave their homeland, their country, to follow their dreams. For all the people who’ve lost a loved one and still had to keep moving forward, and continue with a lot of strength, this award is for you” - Bad Bunny #GRAMMY
unambiguous gestapo shit. Our tax dollars paying for cowardly racist thugs to terrorize American streets with impunity. Anyone who says otherwise is complicit.
@stevendeknight Man, I finally started this show after my og series rewatch and y’all should be proud. Once again, the dialogue is marvelous and the acting is so good. Agreed.
A lot of people are watching this Stranger Things documentary looking for confirmation on their feelings about certain things but all I saw was a lovely group of hundreds of people putting their hearts, souls & minds together to fight reality and make magic happen. Enjoyed that.
The worst side effect of the Snyder Cut is that it opened the door to the delusional belief that every project has a top secret better version of it on a shelf somewhere and if you beg and plead enough, that top secret better version will be released to replace the other one.
Rob Reiner was a true and good human being and an extraordinary director. He was vital and honest and him and amichele were cornerstones of their community and committed to their art and the good of everyone around them. A staggering loss.
Eight years ago I watched THE LAST JEDI. I immediately fell in love with the film. There's a moment in the film, where Yoda tells Luke that "the best teacher, failure is", and it has stayed with me ever since. One of the most beautiful moments in any blockbuster.
I never met these people. I don’t know them personally. But I feel this emotional loss with their passing. I think that’s what great art does- it pulls us close to those we’ve never met in such a human way. 2025’s been an incredibly painful year filled with loss for everyone.
We're devastated by the loss of our longtime friend and collaborator Rob Reiner, an incomparable and beloved Hollywood icon whose comedic genius and dramatic virtuosity has had an immeasurable impact on cinema. His movies have brought endless love and joy to all our lives. He and Michele will be dearly missed. ❤️
