[🟢] NEW: Liverpool are set to place an opening bid for Bradley Barcola.
Liverpool explored signing Barcola in 2025 when a price of around €85m was quoted.
A year on, and PSG's starting valuation is €170m.
PSG sources argue Barcola is a back-to-back Champions League winner and should be worth more than Elliot Anderson (£116m) and Morgan Rogers (£117m).
But Liverpool will point to the fact Barcola only has two years left on his current deal and will not sign a new contract.
talkSPORT understands their initial valuation will be around £80m.
Although Liverpool view adding Barcola as an ideal scenario, there are no plans to overpay, even in an inflated market.

There’s hope, there are delusions, and then there are Arsenal fans who genuinely believe they can bring Vini to North London. 😂
How exactly is he supposed to show off his Champions League badge to Port Vale players on a cold night in Burslem?

Why were so many of us made to believe that everyone in the Bible was white, even though the Bible is set in the Middle East? Was it just art, or was history deliberately changed?
🚨 Bradley Barcola wants to join Liverpool and there’s no doubt on that, as reported since May.
#LFC project is his priority - but any financial agreement is yet to be approved, done or sealed. Seen as natural step but at the right time.
Talks will take place in the next days on player side.
I just heard Latvia felt something in his hamstring... I want to quickly take my time to ask God again to protect Stefan Bajcetic from any injury this season.

[🟢] BREAKING: Bradley Barcola has now given Liverpool his agreement in principle over a potential transfer. 😉
Barcola has held talks in recent days with several Liverpool officials, as well as head coach Andoni Iraola, and is hopeful that the two clubs can reach an agreement which would allow him to make the move.
Liverpool have now opened discussions with their Paris Saint-Germain counterparts. PSG, while now open to a sale, remain firm in their financial demands, with a significant gap still separating the two clubs’ valuations.

Milos Kerkez on finding out Andoni Iraola was replacing Arne Slot:
“I was delighted, honestly. He helped me and improved me a lot in the two years I spent with him. I was really happy, obviously for myself but also for the team. Everyone knows what type of football he plays so I think he is the perfect fit for us.
“It’s the intensity. He’s not scared to play one-on-one all over the pitch, to press high and to be on the front foot always. If you see footage of how we all are after training, all lying down, then you can see what he is preparing us for. You definitely need legs and good condition for what he wants us to do, but we will be all right. When we play games with three or four teams he calls it ‘consequences’ and the losing team and the team that finishes second has to run. How much you have to run depends on what he decides in that moment, but there is always running for the team that loses.
“He’s intense and he likes details. He’s very professional. He likes to talk sometimes but not a lot. I think maybe he doesn’t want to get too close to some players and wants to show that everyone is the same in the team, so he doesn’t want to get too close to anyone in particular. He keeps it professional, with a lot of hard work.”
