I was listening to my scanner at the phoenix race in the early nineties and some random crew member keyed up and was laughing because Dick Trickle’s crew handed him a styrofoam cup of coffee just before they rolled off for the parade laps. I looked through my binoculars and there he was smoking and drinking coffee on pit road. A legend
@washghost1 Had a few. I had to keep extra antennas on hand. That end would break off about every 2 months. I found an aftermarket company that made stronger ones for a lot less $$. Great memories
@Djsbadger@NYeoman@YouTube Car was stuck in a transmission gear. He was hammering the lever on the trans axle to get it unstuck. It may have been “bound” linkage.
@MarkBrainard5@ClayTravis Go last two weeks of August first week of September. Black flies and mosquitoes are all but gone. Born and raised in the Yoop. I always hated Junuary.
@alecmets2011@_DeJota@tonydindy Sat in Penthouse 4 this year. Had all the benefits of this video but could see the front stretch all the way to turn 1 exit.
I have a couple in South West Vista closer to turn 1 pretty good. Drawback is no real Jumbotron to see the rest of the backstretch etc. every seat at Indy is a compromise on some level. If you want to “watch” the race stay home. If you want to experience the race any section will do. (Just not the Snake pit 😆)
@alexgjohnson@kruecab@kenklippenstein That’s typically for slot machines. Table games are at best 48% pay. Craps is the best but still low. 2 to 3 BJ tables are now mostly 6 to 5 squeezing a few more points. Most modern casinos no longer advertise payouts
