Friends -proud to announce I have assumed my new role as President for Canadians for Affordable Energy (CAE). Look to many blogs| Energy Affordability is Under Attack: Canadians for Affordable Energy Intends to Fight Back - Canadians for Affordable Energy https://t.co/Ws15RgaV7s
The Indian High Commissioner to Canada says Carney’s Canada will need 15-million new international immigrants in next decade to meet the job growth. But will Canadians be asked for their opinion if they want the population to potentially double? https://t.co/Ez34WHXO6L
Convenient Canadianism from Canucks like Joni Mitchell who lecture others about @realDonaldTrump ‘s America but can’t wait to lower their elbows to become Americans themselves — https://t.co/S11eIuM7d9
As fuel prices are my interest and knowing the prices of diesel has doubled in September 26 vs 2025, the monthly CPI index will show a ~4% rise in inflation
While war in the Persian Gulf is cited, Cdns elected to pay to weaken the Loonie and add a 2nd carbon tax thru NetZero
@GasPriceWizard Don't forget the producer carbon tax. It's increased the price of everything else. Including the labour needed to get us that more expensive fuel.
@GasPriceWizard The elephant in our negotiating room is Mexico. We are unlikely to be rewarded for being “difficult” by getting a better deal than Mexico. While Carney plays Trump fighter to the world, Mexico is setting the baseline.
@Pagmenzies@GasPriceWizard noted this petulant childish tantrums many times when he was in caucus with Justin who had anger management problems and exploded without warning. It's probably why Sophie ditched him after catching him in her underwear and dress and he went ballistic on her.
@GasPriceWizard So what we are saying here is that this guy's desire to virtue signal his superiority over everyone else blinded him to all the obvious issues with these vehicles & nearly cost him his life...
@GasPriceWizard The “fixed” costs are in repairs; replacement; and inability to perform when the weather is not nice. In other words- completely, totally useless!
@GasPriceWizard Why do people ignore legacy, infrastructure costs when doing comparisons?
Province, Municipalities may use different scales in setting fees and "usage" in many cases isn't the largest item.
Single person vs family of four detached home hit with same fees delivery, legacy fees.
@GasPriceWizard Really, consider Windmills: -cost of lubricants isn’t fixed
- cost of blades & the cost of Junking expired blades isn’t fixed.
- cost of maintenance to steel towers and concrete pads is not fixed!
- cost of specific cranes to maintain & the diesel to run them is not fixed!
I’m always being asked what stands out in this energy crisis compared to previous?
2 things
1) the loss of the “Petro Loonie” is the biggest setback and adds an extra 38 cts/l for gas, 60 cpl for diesel
2) the hidden carbon tax
It adds 15-18 cts for gas & 19 cts for diesel
"They’re great cars, but I almost died in a fire."
"Tesla has been ordered to pay more than $150,000 after a Quebec man’s car caught on fire due to an electrical failure."
"Since the fire, De Santis says his insurance premiums have nearly tripled to around $1,000 per month."
@WesternStandard I can't think of too many times in my career where someone cried during a work meeting.
I'm not surprised that it happened regularly in the Trudeau government though – governing is not for the weak.
