@AokoOtieno_ The only reason Al shabaab went dormant is jus because they are now part of the system... alshabaab are not okuyus,LUO's, Maasai, kambas or Turkana....the whole world knows they're Somalis
@Samk372 Kalonzo is the honest, mature exposed leader that has experience despite his any weakness.
Let's give him a chance too lead the team as they will work together
This evening I joined families, friends and victims of the June 25 Gen Z demonstrations for a memorial service at Nairobi Baptist Church.
We gathered to honour the lives of young Kenyans whose courage and sacrifice must never be forgotten. I firmly believe that June 25 MUST be recognised annually as a public holiday, a day for national reflection and remembrance. I also propose the establishment of a national monument in honour of these heroes.
This event reminded me of the earlier service I attended at CLJ Maranatha Church, Karen, Nairobi, held under the theme “A Day with the Father”, I reflected on the responsibility of leadership in our nation. Leaders must carry themselves with the heart of fathers and mothers, offering guidance, protection, and care, especially for our children. A nation is strongest when those in authority act not with force, but with compassion, wisdom, and a deep sense of duty to safeguard the vulnerable.
I urge our police service to exercise restraint and professionalism. The use of excessive force against unarmed citizens is unacceptable and must come to an end.
Kenya must choose the path of justice, accountability, and respect for human life.
Fellow Kenyans,
We will not watch as the blood of our children is treated as a footnote. June 25th remains a public holiday of remembrance and resistance.More than 50 brave young Kenyans, our unsung heroes like Rex Maasai from Siaya, Herbert Ojwang’, and Erickson who was gunned down outside Parliament lost their lives fighting for economic justice. We must come out in large numbers to commemorate them.
Our position remains firm: President Ruto must not sign the punitive Finance Bill into law. I salute the brave Linda Mwananchi Movement MPs who boldly voted NO, and the many legislators who intentionally boycotted parliament in protest. The executive must listen to the sovereign voice of the people.
I also condemn the state sponsored goons unleashing terror on peaceful citizens, even inside holy sanctuaries like All Saints Cathedral. Following the sickening "Shoot to Kill" pronouncement by an MP from Homa Bay, I challenge both the Minister of Interior and President William Ruto to break their silence and come clean on this state sanctioned violence.
To those who cannot join the march, stand in solid solidarity by staying at home and following the proceedings. Let the silence of our empty streets be a roaring testament against tyranny. We will not forget, and we will not back down. See you on June 25th !
On this Father's Day 2026, I remember my late Father Mzee Nahashon Gachagua Reriani and all dads, and our spiritual leaders playing pivotal role in families and communities.
My late father taught my siblings and I great courage, resilience and compassion.
His dedication to family and community service fuel my resolve every day to remain steadfast and put family and other people before me.
Happy Fathers Day to all men whose resolve remains undeterred and your courage means much to others.
My family and I celebrate your responsibility, sacrifices, and commitments you make every day for others.
God Bless all Fathers.
