FYI, the /r/ContagionCuriosity subreddit now has a megathresd up on the ongoing cyclosporiasis outbreak, probably the best place to follow along. Which I would recommend doing, along with the basic precaution of avoiding raw produce that is frequently implicated (bagged salad, cilantro, basil, raspberries, and blackberries), at least until a source is identified.

A year ago, CDC made Cyclospora surveillance optional. It had been tracked for 28 years.
Today: ~3,000 cases across 31 states, no confirmed source, and CDC’s own count (843) is trailing what states are reporting by thousands.
Cyclospora can not removed by washing, using fruit/veg washes or soaking in vinegar solutions.
Fruits and vegetables must be cooked to a temperature of 158°F (70°C) or higher in order to be consumed safely.
Produce with thick skins such as bananas or oranges can be peeled.
I am trying to reconcile how we scrutinize every dollar spent on making trains better, while the country spends tens of billions annually on highways without a second thought.
Argh. Cyclospora positive. The symptoms are brutal, and I've lost 6 pounds in four days.
DON'T EAT RAW VEGETABLES OR GREENS FROM GROCERY STORES OR RESTAURANTS!
The severe diarrhea outbreak across the U.S. should surprise no one. It’s exactly the kind of thing we were warned about.
DOGE heavily targeted agencies related to food and agriculture, significantly impacting federal food monitoring aid and inspection capacities. This diarrhea is caused by a parasite in food.
What did people think was going to happen? DOGE didn't just cut fat; it cut into the bones.
@elonmusk we have a problem here. Your boys knew nothing. Perhaps you'll contribute to much needed emergency medical services, particularly in rural communities where hospitals are becoming overwhelmed.
