I've sold on $eBay for nearly 10 years with 100% positive feedback and built an original automotive brand from the ground up.
Today I searched for one of my flagship products in an incognito browser... and couldn't find my listings in the first 5+ pages. Instead, I found copycats selling knockoffs of my designs.
After digging in, I discovered my account is rated "Below Standard" because of 18 inventory cancellations out of 749 transactions (2.4%). Not because of unhappy customers. Not because of returns. Not because of negative feedback. My feedback is still 100%.
I called eBay support hoping someone could review the situation. The response was essentially, "There's nothing we can do."
That's frustrating as a small business owner. Customer satisfaction, product quality, and a decade of reputation seem to matter less than a single metric crossing an arbitrary threshold.
Imagine what a marketplace could look like if it actually prioritized seller reputation, customer satisfaction, and original products while making it easier to deal with counterfeit and copycat listings.
That's one of the reasons I'm excited about the potential of GameStop $GME acquiring eBay. More competition in marketplaces means sellers and buyers both win.
Small businesses deserve better.

Ryan Cohen: “Why Does Everyone Want GameStop to Fail?”
$GME CEO @ryancohen:
“The media is an example. Why is it that you've got a ($EBAY) management team with no skin in the game, they're not builders, they haven't built anything themselves before, they've basically just been employees at major companies, they’ve been overpaid, I don't think they've ever broken out a sweat in their entire lives, why does everyone want them to succeed?
But when you have someone that, and by the way, I'm putting $500M of my own money into this transaction, I haven't pulled a penny out of GameStop, and it seems like everyone in the media basically wants us to fail, and wants them to succeed.
And you've got a board that's making hundreds of thousands of dollars a year. They don't buy stock with their own money. They end up showing up to a handful of board meetings, and they're making a fortune. You've got a management team that is grossly overpaid, taking zero risk.
There's nothing more American than basically risking your own capital. So why does everyone want us to fail?
@friedberg:
“I do think that the media, in order to give you credibility, they're gonna have to acknowledge that all of their takes on GameStop just being a meme stock were wrong, and that there is actually a business here, and that there is value being created here, and that they missed that, and they got the story completely wrong.”

Ryan Cohen revealed on @theallinpod that he’s putting $500M of his own money behind the eBay acquisition.
That’s more money than every insider has ever spent on eBay, cumulatively. Ever.
You don’t really need to know the market prices those purchases were made at, because eBay insiders have only purchased a total of 144,610 shares on the open market in the history of the company.
$500M is enough for 4M shares at $125/share. Or more than 27x the number of shares ever purchased by eBay insiders on the open market.
$GME eBay insiders just dumped millions in stock on June 15th (right before today’s shareholder meeting):
• CEO Jamie Iannone: $2.13M
• CFO Peggy Alford: $2.56M
• Chief People Officer: $370K
• Chief Commercial Officer: $399K
• Chief Legal Officer: $197K
• Chief Accounting Officer: $92K
All at $109.18/share.
GameStop is sitting on a big stake, HSR is cleared, and now this…
Do they know something we don’t? 👀
🌊🌊🌊
Dear $EBAY Shareholders,
Proposal 4 is about your basic rights.
Right now, it takes 20% of all shares to call a special meeting. Proposal 4 lowers that to 10% so shareholders can act when the board will not.
GameStop and Ryan Cohen now hold about 9% of eBay and have offered $125 per share and a plan to increase EPS for shareholders immediately, which is a 40% premium from when they first bought eBay stock in February and a significant premium to today’s price, valuing the company at an all time high since going public. The board rejected this offer while themselves selling shares at much lower prices and, to my knowledge, no current director has EVER purchased eBay stock on the open market with their own money, only sold what they were given.
If Proposal 4 passes and GameStop reaches 10% ownership, they can call a special meeting and you can vote on who sits on the board and runs this company.
For too long eBay has been run by overpaid executives and serial delegators that have put shareholders and customers last. Vote Yes on Proposal 4 at the eBay annual meeting on June 17, 2026. The board should answer to shareholders and not the other way around. Compensation should not be risk free. There should be accountability for bad decisions that hurt the company financially.
Disclaimer: I am a shareholder of both GameStop and eBay and may benefit if Proposal 4 passes and Ryan Cohen gains greater influence over eBay. This message is for informational and advocacy purposes only. It is not investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security, or a solicitation of proxies. Please review eBay’s official proxy materials and make your own voting and investment decisions.
If you go by the twitter feed:
It's almost like tonnes of people never really invested for the reasons they said they did.
It's almost like people just go along with the crowd and don't really know what they're talking about.
It's almost like people never really knew what DIAMOND HANDS meant, but spat it out anyway until they got bored.
It's almost like people will believe any conspiracy theory under the sun posted by ButtFace42069 based on absolutely nothing, and then get disappointed when it doesn't happen.
It's almost like grown adults have no control over their emotions and don't invest using logic or fact.
Weird, huh?
I believe in @gamestop, @ryancohen and the board. I understand what this company is doing and how it's transforming by simply listening, reading what they put out, and it's much simpler than most people think.
Power to the Players. 💎🙌
So theoretically if $GME initiates a $2B share buyback at the bottom & price then goes above $32…
Warrants get exercised & the company raises $1.9B back? But issues less new shares than they bought back?
I sure would hate to be short right about now 😈

Update:
I s/w a gentleman @gamestop a few minutes ago who called me on the phone
This issue has been resolved
GameStop made everything right and exceeded my expectations
When I posted this originally last night, I did not anticipate a response nor to have my issue resolved that quickly. I was honestly just messing around when I saw the cancellation email come in late last night. I would have eventually called customer service.
For those in the comments that said “just reorder”, it was a hard to find item that I was going to pick up at a different store by my place of employment. It could not be shipped to me and another one wasn’t available within 100 miles. Per the website, the store had only one in stock.
I know @ryancohen has better things to do then respond to me, but this experience has truly made me feel even better about how things are done at this organization.
Thanks again RC and sorry to bother you. Hope you know I appreciate how hard you and your employees work. The gentlemen who called me was fantastic and super professional. A+ experience.
A lot can happen in 16 hours on X
This guy is just built differently
If anyone here is aware of and can point me to any PSA graded cards on eBay or anywhere else that have suspected fake or missing serial numbers, please send them my way
