@ukhomeoffice Whilst the sentiment is good, how can companies achieve this without “pre-screening” images sent by children.
Surely educating children and parents on the dangers of sending sexual content is the better option, rather than giving tech giants access to children’s images to review
@Keir_Starmer@UKLabour How are they going to achieve this without invasive surveillance on children?
Surely educating children on the dangers of sending images is better than inviting tech giants to monitor their online activity.
If AI is being used, what safeguards are in place?

"I'm calling on tech companies operating in this country to introduce device controls that prevent children from sending and receiving sexually explicit images," Keir Starmer says
"If they chose not to, then we will act," the PM adds

🚨🏴 Scotland is facing a massive data centre explosion and most people have no idea.
In a small village in Fife called Auchtertool.
A giant 600 megawatt AI hyperscale data centre called Cato is being proposed on farmland right next to Auchtertool in Fife, just 7 to 8 miles from the existing Queensway Park data centre in Glenrothes.
This monster project will cover around 61 acres, the size of about 35 football pitches.
One project alone using as much electricity every year as half a million Scottish homes, roughly 20% of the entire country's electricity consumption.
These hyperscale AI data centres are popping up across Scotland, sucking up massive amounts of power, water for cooling, and farmland, while we already pay some of the highest energy bills in Europe.
Scotland and its people have become the AI testing ground for the tech bro's
Are you happy with that?
Hopefully you will make a stand against this with me and others like @JamesMelville
Who has been fantastic at highlighting this all week, please have a look at his page.

@RupertLowe10 Not doing enough for green spaces, protecting wildlife, innovation and growth. No word on the protection of workers rights, women’s rights.
Still a long way to go. Maybe you’ll be ready at the next GE.
Henry Nowak’s family have lost their son and brother in the most appalling circumstances.
Nigel Farage is exploiting this tragedy to create grievance and division.
It’s completely unforgivable.
Shabana Mahmood, the home secretary, gave a statement about the murder of Henry Nowak in the Commons. Nigel Farage couldn't be bothered to attend, but other Mps are asking her questions right now.
That "emergency address" was performative, and it was to sow division.
One day Farage will go too far, people will finally see him for the hate filled, narcissistic turd he really is. He doesn’t want to improve this nation he wants to divide it, he wants to profit from it and laugh in the faces of all those daft enough to believe in him.
