And look at the condition of the roads and basic infra of the hub. Pathetic

[Aditya Kondawar @aditya_kondawar]

Pune is one of India's biggest automobile and auto-component manufacturing hubs.

During a recent management interaction, I was told that nearly 30% of India's auto components are manufactured in the Pune region.

The Pimpri-Chinchwad region alone has over 4,000 manufacturing and ancillary units

From Tata Motors, Bajaj Auto and Mercedes-Benz to Volkswagen, Mahindra and Bharat Forge, Pune has built an incredible automotive ecosystem over the decades.

One of India's most important manufacturing clusters!

Human behaviour in a nutshell. Being settled is an illusion created by society. Humans can never be settled, they constantly want new things and when we gets it we wnat another and then another. There is never an end to it.....

A colleague from my ex company took early retirement at 52. He has built a nice bunglow back home. So he moved to enjoy peaceful life in his hometown .

A month later he was back to his 3BHK in Pune .

When asked his answer was simple - Chutiye rehte hai sab waha .

🇮🇳India will soon see the same. Seeing this in case of some relatives of mine. Childrens are living in Cities or Outside the State of Country and Parents are living a very lonely life. No one visits them and living isolated life.

[BRICS News @BRICSinfo]

JUST IN: 🇨🇳 China's elderly are hiring "temporary children" to visit them, deliver meals, and provide emotional support, creating a $7.4 billion companionship industry.

I think approving new data center projects and GCC will solve this issue.

#Elnino has caused severe drought accross Maharashtra, no Monsoon rains after July , even no rains in Ghat areas later which receives highest rainfall in India. Majority of the rivers, dams, wells across Vidarbha, Marathwada and Southern parts of state are DRY right now. Crop loss is very severe.

This video denotes the state and severity of the drinking water problem the state is and will face in coming time.

In last decade, Latur city received water via train but this time this situation is grave as almost all cities, villages don't have any near by source of drinking water.

Govt and all citizens will have to keep in mind how powerful nature is and what measures we will have to ensure so that we will not face untoward hardships because of non availability of the water in future.

India being most populous country in the world needs to ensure availability of water than any other infrastructure project first. This we will have to treat as an emergency.

#Maharashtra #दुष्काळ

Govt got money for Ladli Bahina but not for Mid day meal says a lot about our country

[The Times Of India @timesofindia]

For the last four months, since the start of the academic year, teachers and headmasters across govt schools in #Maharashtra have been paying from their own pockets to keep their mid-day meal programmes running. The schools, officials said, were hit by a delay in the disbursal of the PM Poshan fund, a central scheme that sponsors the meals. Even the cooks haven’t been paid salaries, teachers told TOI.

Mindless developement without any planning

[Pune @PuneDistrict]

Pune to face water cuts from October 15 amid concerns over reservoir levels.

Were our dams not full? They were right.

[Mayank Tiwari @mayankredkop]

I am shivering with fear by just thinking about the immenant water crisis that is about to happen in 2-3 months.
I have lived that severe water crisis era of 2003. We used the get water for 1 hr once in a week. For clean drinking water we used to run behind the municipal water tankers.
I have seen water being supplied by trains to my hometown pali.

I don't think 95% of people here even know how hard they are about to hit.

I will seriously plead you all to use water very carefully
