I am DR GORETTI OSCAR TANGBAN 🔥🔥 🔥, a force to reckon with.
On this day I inducted into the “Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria”
All glory to God ❤️
My call ended by 4pm, I got a call from an SR at 6:17pm that a patient needs my attention in the ward, I told her as calmly as I could tht my call ended at 4pm.
SR: “Ehn, now I’m telling you a patient needs your attention”
I told her every emergency after 4pm is channeled to MTOC
What the FG is doing to House officers is really unfair
House officers are literally the work engine of medicine.
They are the ATP and fuel powering Medicine
Not paying them their May Salaries as at June 23, 2026 is totally inhumane and injustice.
Why do they have to beg every month for their dues for which they have toiled, worked and labored for.
They have their lives to cater for, some are supporting their familes, some have bills to cater for.
You cannot treat Doctors this way.
This is unfair

Posting almost every day about the delay and non-payment of House Officers’ salaries was so exhausting and I had to stop, especially when the salary in question is just a little over six figures and not even up to half a million naira.
It is, however, disappointing that this issue continues to persist. Many training centres are already struggling with challenges such as inadequate accommodation, irregular electricity supply, and lack of water. House Officers often have to bear these costs themselves, in addition to spending significant amounts on transportation.
Despite these difficult working conditions, salary delays remain a recurring problem. It is unfair and discouraging to young doctors who are already making so much sacrifices in service of the healthcare system.
We Young doctors deserve better. A healthcare system cannot thrive when the people holding it together are constantly struggling to survive.
Not paying House Officers their May salary on the 22nd of June is enough for the whole NMA/ NARD to embark on an industrial action if we have seniors that are concerned about our Welfare .
Everybody is going on their normal business because of course they are bloody HOs .💔
A House Officer wore his white coat, left home to the hospital, attended to patients, and ended up getting murdered by patient relatives.
The same white coat he wore to provide humanitarian services, he got shrouded in it.
Why do people keep going to hospitals if they do not respect the doctors???? If you are sick and you think Nigerian doctors are incompetent please go to your babalawo in peace.
It’s so sad to see how abusive Nigerians can be, this calls for an indefinite strike.
In the last three weeks we've lost three doctors.
A consultant to lassa fever.
A resident to a pregnancy complication and now
A house officer to patient assault.
Nothing on the timeline.
Nothing on the news!
No freaking outbreak!
And I'm not surprised.
A thousand doctors could die and people would move on as if it's normal.
We put our lives on the line but nobody gives a shit about us, as our lives is being treated as expendable.
Something has to give.
