Wherever I roam, I enjoy meeting journalists, broadcasters and writers to swap experiences, inspiration and ideas. Hanging out with the news and sport guys at GTV (Guadeloupe Télévision) in Guadeloupe, 2011 #Guadeloupe#inspiration#Caribbean
I’m absolutely delighted that Gay has made maiden Test 50. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders. He’s quietly confident, with a seemingly good work ethic and temperament.
I like him.

@officialblueboy Planned to be at this gig but plans got changed. During my Waaaah years, Blueboy played gigs for us (including this one https://t.co/NfUUOJA5SD), appeared in our fanzine - Keith (RIP) was one of our cover stars, and the band appeared on our CD comp releases. Fond memories...
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s omission from the England team is disappointing but not unexpected.
What he has provided #LUFC this season is something that other England striker options perhaps don’t: a world-class ability in the air, outstanding hold-up play, huge work rate off the ball as the first defender, and 15 Premier League goal involvements.
Tuchel’s first selection has a lot of surprises in it. And in some ways feels imbalanced. And it is missing some big game players.
If it all goes wrong for England, Tuchel won’t be short of critics.
I feel for DCL, he’s a leader on and off the pitch. He had an incredible hot streak in the winter and the best season of his career since playing under Carlo Ancelotti.
#LUFC will get a fit DCL with a full preseason under his belt and ready to hit the ground running at the start of next season with the burning ambition of a point to prove.
But you feel for Calvert-Lewin because he could not have done much more to be on that plane.
‘Onomastics’ is the study of names and naming from a linguistic perspective. I’m currently looking at the invention of first names by parents from other cultures which imitate the sounds of English. Latest examples are ‘Welbson’ and ‘Dagnew’. More examples very welcome.

Watched Brighton v Wolves this weekend. #Brighton won 3-0 and it was a comfortable win for them. Although, already relegated, #Wolves had a bit of a go in the second half. After the final whistle the home fans were full of joy and the away fans were, understandably, not happy.
