For example although benchmark AI *could* (still) be exponential, actual deployed AI progress could be linear because of eg training constraints…

@yudapearl @sapinker Maybe “rational” is more related to non-social cause and effect in the world. Maybe “rationalising” is more related to minimising a social cost function so we can maintain the evolutionary advantage of teamwork even when we think our teammates are crazy!
