Absolutely shocking: @Artscape has fallen apart.
Where is the Mayor? Where is the bureaucracy?
Bikeshare was on the cusp of collapsing when I was Chief Planner and we vowed not to let it happen on our watch. Led by Deputy City Manager John Livey, we held emergency meetings & came up with an innovative solution: we had The Parking Authority take it over.
The Parking Authority didn't want a failing bike rental program. The negotiations were intense. We made the public policy case for bike share becoming a city service to the politicians.
Today it is thriving.
The City of Toronto should step in and step up. Artists matter. Event venues matter. Affordable housing matters.
@ttchelps@ausmalik traffic often takes this corner at speed and close to pedestrians, maybe busses could set an example and be more cautious around kids and crossing guards while they’re still in the intersection. Intersection: NB on Shaw St, turning left (WB) onto Queen St #ttc
Back in the late 90's, Keith Johnstone invited me over to his house because "the music at Loosemoose is shit!". We had 4 hours together where he played me some of his favorite pieces of music. I recorded the music that I liked onto my mini disc player for use in the shows.
Had a really fun time filming a small part in tonight’s @PrettyHardCases! I got to see animals on set which checks a box on another career goal. Watch it at 9:00 pm (9:30 pm NT) on @cbc and @cbcgem#PrettyHardCases
At this point, I hope nobody takes for granted rights, programs, safety nets, social norms, regulations and protections carved out, advanced or expanded in the post-war decades. I hope nobody assumes ‘progress’ only and inevitably flows in one direction. It’s all under attack.
Let me tell you something, it’s a very bad practice to walk up on stage and physically assault a Comedian.
Now we all have to worry about who wants to be the next Will Smith in comedy clubs and theaters.

This is Monday’s @nytimes Page One, one of the most important of the war bc of the powerful photo at the top.
It shows how Russian troops targeted civilians fleeing the village of Irpin.
At least 3 members of a family of 4 died in the attack.
The photo is by @lynseyaddario.
