The Chongwenmen Railway was a section of track that British forces forcibly built through the Chongwenmen barbican in 1901 to extend the railway to Qianmen. During the Republic of China period, it was incorporated into the Jingshi Huancheng Railway and became a link from Dongbianmen to Qianmen East Station. It was mainly used for freight and was demolished in 1971.
