@thetrainline until last week every direct Brighton → Farringdon train was displaying £42.80, and now the same direct trains are being presented with different operator/fare combinations

@thetrainline And if Trainline is simply displaying fares set by the operators, who is responsible for deciding that a single Brighton–Farringdon journey should have different prices based on which operator operates part of the service?

@thetrainline That doesn't really explain the issue. The 07:39 service is a single train from Brighton to Farringdon, so why does the fact that it is partly operated by Southern result in a different fare?

@BrightonHoveCC It's pretty clear the architect, who is on the i360 board, thought this would bring London Eye level profit. The reality is that most of us don't want to spend money looking at the sea from farther away than if we just stand on the promenade. No PR strategy can mend this.
