Thoughts on this? 40mph seems a crazy fast speed to be going when you're essentially just standing on a single wheel, without a helmet or any protective gear.

Technically this is a motor vehicle and requires a driving licence and insurance etc.

Seriously! This is all getting so far beyond the pale!
If there is one person who has been consistently and vehemently opposed to the notion of equalised pay for control staff it's MW.

Like so many of his claims it's just false or, like many others, just plain misleading.

This particular one is on a par with his claims of having valuable experience. I spent 18 years in meetings where the negotiations are really done (with the employers' joint secretary/ies where invariably MW would be paying no attention at all to what was being discussed, whilst throughout the meeting jabbing furiously away on his iPad at some minor but presumably irritating tweet or whatnot.

His claim for the credit for the education programme, Decon, the publications, the pension successes.. all of them ....the work of others. It all happened around MW and not because of him.

He can justifiably claim credit for persuading Labour to create the recently announced (Westminster) Ministerial Advisory Group. But I have had sight of the Terms of Reference and frankly what the government has offered is a complete crock.

There's a fair chance that this post won't go down well with many.

No-one worked for longer or at such close quarters with MW than me... first in London and then at national level (40 years in total).

I won't be responding to any replies. Simply because cheerleaders for MW don't really know him at all and in most cases have formed an impression based on hype. The reality is the curtain scene in the Wizard of Oz
