@SeetheShels Pretty sure someone outside the ground threw something into the away end and it hit a young fella, I could be wrong though. Hope heβs ok.
Harry wood absolutely sensational yet again. Weβre blessed to have him
@SKennedy93 But what happened in oriel was different. Normally people are throwing pyro away so theyβre not caught with it and might get ejected/banned. Last week was intentional which is why itβs garnered so much negative attention (and rightly so)
@SKennedy93 Iβve said it before but ideally there are designated pyro areas where people are allowed put them in a bin afterwards instead of throwing them away resulting in damage/injury but clubs wouldnβt be able to get insurance for it. Itβs a tough one.
@SeetheShels Frustrating lack of balls in to the box and overplaying it in the final 3rd as usual. Losing paddy and Casey is a disaster. Both look like theyβll be at the very least a few weeks out, maybe worse.
@ste_doody Some recent ones that havenβt been mentioned:
Paddy Barrett against Pats in tolka. The first time I actually thought weβd get Europe that season
Harryβs goal away to Bohs last year was actually more important than Kerrβs to guarantee Europe
John Martin in Rijeka
Sad to see this. Some great contributions with Shels but my favourite memory was when he jumped in to the stand in Gibraltar in full kit celebrating with the fans.
Enjoy retirement Matty π΄βͺοΈ
Matty Smith has retired from professional football at the age of 28! β
The Scottish forward played for @WaterfordFCie, @stpatsfc, @derrycityfc and @shelsfc, where he won the Premier Division in 2024! π
He steps back after an injury-hit season at the Blues last year! π
@TheIrishKieran When a keeper goes down and halts play, all players from both teams have to go straight to centre circle to stop them having a team meeting with their manager. Play restarts then with opposing GK taking a goal kick, regardless of who had possession. Would cut a lot of it out

@IFBMedia I remember when I started going to Shels games in 1997, pretty sure we were top of the league at the time and he told me weβd win fuck all. We finished 2nd in the league and lost 2 cup finals that season. I should have listened to him π
