We do realize that a George Soros billionaire type who doesn’t mind losing a couple hundred million dollars could very easily drop money on Kalshi just to affect an election. The assumption was that the betting markets should be more realistic because who would wanna lose money. But if a political activist could drop 100 million on a race for advertisements and lose all that money, why not just put it into a gambling site where there’s the potential he gets his money back, but if he doesn’t at least he attempted to sway voter opinion and he doesn’t have to register it as a donation to a political party
Yeah because genx got crushed the hardest in 2008. They were in that sweet spot not entry level but not over the hill job cycle. And their 401ks got wiped. They lost homes and just when they started getting it all back covid hit. Most millennials were just impacted with covid and that was nowhere near as bad as 2008.
Also I think Gen X is more realistic about what is needed for retirement. I bet if you actually asked most millennials what their retirement would look like they are highly over calculating.
Agreed. If that’s what happens it means external factors didn’t have as large of an impact and it was a normal party in power loses seats election. Good news for 2028. I mean we all would have loved trump to not attack Iran we probably would have held both houses but it is what it is at this point.
@ComicDaveSmith I honestly liked that he took swings on both political sides but for a comedy it just wasn’t that funny. There were definitely moments but his previous movies were 90 mins of laughter.
Hot take on the real estate market. One of the main reasons why starter homes are so expensive is because home builders are still building homes for boomers and Gen Xers who had three or four kids in a family. So all new home builds are four or five bedroom homes. But Gen Z and Gen Alpha may have one child. So in reality, unless they start changing their methods and building two and three bedroom homes again, Gen Alpha and Gen Z will have to get used to renting because apartments are truly what’s best for them size-wise.
@Cernovich This is what I say to all the people who keep listing good news. List of data is not emotions. How the people feel
Is more important that the actual logic of the situation. If your explaining your losing.
When they do those quality of life surveys it’s always grading on things like abortion access or climate quality, etc., it never has to do with just economics, crime, etc. And if you you take out all the blue cities in the red states, the red states are far and away superior. In general.
Absolutely not. Now for an adult if they want to call themselves by a different sex that’s on them. For children absolutely not in any sense.
But as a person or a government to change laws to accommodate a mental delusion that is not an objective truth is asinine. Changing laws, changing classifications on government documents to affirm a delusion is crazy.
I don’t think we are that far apart in thinking. I’m saying the economics of the country are less important that the heart of the country. And a country that uses subjective morality, abhors justice and mocks scientific reason and in its place celebrates delusion is a core that will not sustain.
