@alvinsdelq Don’t you just love the bitterness of football fans? Van Persie scored 96 goals in 194 appearances, whilst Trossard got 27 in 123, but the latter is a legend cos VP left to go to United to win medals! As a neutral football fan, it’s clear who was the better player 🤔
@RacingMikey96 In the main here, what a thread of miserable horse racing “experts” who obviously know much more than those in the media. Tell you what boys, just a thought, but maybe Saturday afternoons watching ITV Racing is not for you!
@SkyCricket Surely it’s a case of who shouldn’t it be? And the unanimous answer has to be Harry Brook. Not a great success so far as white ball captain & just too immature to be a test captain.
@StatoDave@theanalyst I think very good batter is stretching it a bit, Dave. May look good on ‘road’ pitches but when there’s anything in the pitch, technically he struggles. Very average wicket keeper though.
@Cricket_TS What a turncoat Harmy is! After the Ashes & the ECB review, he backed McCullum & his mate (Key) to stay on….fast forward a couple of months and now another good mate (Stokes) has retired, McCullum has got to go!! Loved Harmy as a cricketer but he has no impartiality as a pundit.
@WG_RumblePants@TheJemmaZone You’d like to think so, but I guess the ECB will carry out another internal review/marking your own homework exercise and decide to give McCullum & Key another chance to improve things. Absolute shambles!!
@DAVIDTH76538792@derekpringle Yes, it was was a good ball but hardly in the same league as Shane Warne’s ball of the century, but you’d be forgiven thinking it was judging by Stokes’ reaction! Bowled through the gate? More like through double doors!!
@WG_RumblePants Smith was out of his depth in the Ashes and nothing he has done in this series shows he’s better than that. I actually feel sorry for him though. He doesn’t keep wicket for Surrey so this England management team has left him gaining keeping experience by playing in tests only???
@SkyCricket What a difference a week makes? A week ago, James Rew was heavily criticised for his keeping & batting…fast forward, Smith back in the side, drops two dollies when keeping & then plays a poor shot to be out for one. Out of his depth in the Ashes, not much change now?
@SkyCricket Am I missing something here, as per the moaners on this thread? Root missed the ball, it hit his pad and umpire gave him out lbw. Review showed that the ball was hitting the wicket so the umpire’s decision was correct 🤔
@racingblogger To all those moaners on this thread who are just grumbling through their pocket, Buick never stopped riding & pushing his mount, he never left a gap for the winner, his horse was caught on the post. No blame on the jockey. He lost, you probably lost money as well, get over it!!
@DanC261020@TBahnson@liamcsc Spot on, Dan. I’ve been saying for quite a while now that Rice just doesn’t have the skill set for a Number 8. Very good defensive midfielder but that would mean dropping Anderson, who has also done well as a DM.
@ChrisRGollop@psmithyjourno Spot on. No one else but Stokes to blame for this recent issue. He’s the England captain which brings a sense of responsibility 🤔 The whole management set up is awful though. I’d get rid of them all (including Stokes) & start again but not with Brook as captain 🤭🫣
@ChrisRGollop@psmithyjourno Spot on, Chris. I’m sick & tired of reading comments like “he was only out a bit late” or “the test match was finished & the next one was 10 days away”. Numpties. He’s the England captain who breached a curfew that he was fully aware of. Irresponsible behaviour. End of.
