@VirginTrains He just said: ‘it’s too big.’ He wasn’t prepared to even engage in reasonable conversation about it. But somehow the issue didn’t exist on the next train? The policy needs updating to make it clear. Musicians are some of your most regular repeat customers.
@VirginTrains My double bass playing colleague has just been forced to leave the train from Edinburgh to London by an over zealous train manager. The train is half empty and he was sitting with his bass in between carriages not causing any issues.
@VirginTrains It’s not busy at all. He’s been travelling by train with Virgin for years and it’s never been a problem. He’s now been allowed on the next train but had to pay for a new ticket. Seems like policy is enforced on the whim of each train manager.
@VirginTrains We boarded the train at Edinburgh Haymarket at 8.59. We had tried to book a bicycle space in advance for the double bass but were told that the length of the platform made that impossible. Advised that we should sort it with the onboard train manager who was completely unhelpful
@bbctms question for Andy: When was the last time a player went from batting at number 1 to number 11 in consecutive innings as Leach did between the second inning in Pallekele and the first innings in Columbo?
