Most "AI in Science" talk is pure hype. We know the risks: hallucinations, "black box" logic, and the erosion of peer review.
However, the shift from "AI as a tool" to "AI as a researcher" is happening. Not because the tech is perfect, but because the scale of data has outpaced the human "barn."
It’s time to move past the binary of "pro-AI" or "anti-AI" and look at how the architecture of the lab is changing. AI is here like it or not.
